Demiks Intro

Demiks is a technology company providing software and digital services for language education. Our solutions support language schools and educators in delivering effective instruction, enhancing learning outcomes, and optimizing educational workflows. By streamlining administrative tasks and improving teaching tools, Demiks enables institutions to focus on delivering high-quality language programs and facilitating successful learning experiences.

Our Journey

2017 - Startup Phase

Research and ideation began in March 2017 with the objective of developing a platform that enables language learners to travel to a destination and participate in language courses and cultural activities.

2019 - Incorporation

Demiks Inc. was officially incorporated in Quebec, Canada. Marketing initiatives were launched to promote Spanish language programs, along with complementary offerings such as culinary experiences, dance classes, and guided city tours delivered through our partner school network in Mexico City and Playa del Carmen.

2020 - Pivot to Online LMS

Following the outbreak of the pandemic, international travel came to a standstill. The urgent need for language schools to continue delivering programs online made it clear that we had to develop digital tools and integrate with existing platforms to support uninterrupted operations.

2021 - Full Feature School Management Software

Guided by direct input from our partner schools, we expanded the platform with additional capabilities, enabling language institutions to use Demiks as a centralized solution for core operational needs. Enhanced marketing, sales, class management, and reporting functionalities positioned the platform as a competitive, all-in-one system.

2022 - First Mobile App

Demiks launched its first mobile application, enabling teachers to manage their schedules, record class attendance, and document lesson progress and classroom activities in real time.

2023 - Schools on 6 Continents

Partner schools across all six inhabited continents serve language learners from more than 90 countries, with continued international growth.

2024 - Website Maintenance Services

Continuously listening to the needs of our partner schools, we introduced a website maintenance service designed to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving regulations, security standards, and accessibility requirements.

2025 - International School Support

As we support language schools welcoming international students, we expanded our platform to include integrated tools for managing accommodation, agent relationships, airport transfers, travel insurance, and related services, eliminating the need for multiple disconnected systems.

2026 - Artificial Intelligence

We are introducing AI-powered capabilities across our platform to enhance automation, improve operational efficiency, and provide smarter insights for language schools.

Territorial Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge that Demiks is situated on unceded Indigenous lands.

The Kanien’kehá:ka Nation is recognized as the custodians of the lands and waters on which we gather today.

Tiohtià:ke/Montréal is the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka, a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst many First Nations including the Kanien’kehá:ka of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Huron Wendat, Anishinaabeg, Algonquin Anishinaabe and Abenaki, among others.

We understand that land acknowledgement is the first step to engage with the shared history of colonization. Demiks is committed to promote friendship, conversation and peace through language learning and cultural exchange.
