We're excited to share with you the list of new changes in our Demiks Admin Language School Management Software. Here's a detailed overview of the key features included in this release.

The new version was released on July 1st but we're announcing it now because we've been working on a few details.

Seamless Administration

We are obsessed with the details that make the language school administration easier. There have been more than 20 small improvements in the past quarter but here we'll introduce a couple of the big ones.

We added a possibility to create departments from "Top Menu > Team > Department". You might have different segmentations in your market, different regions or different languages you offer to be grouped as a department. Department is a property you can attach to a teacher, invoice and class.

The class management system in Demiks Admin used to be based on number of sessions. Now number of hours is supported as well. You can set either the number of session or the number of hours to automatically generate all sessions (dates) for a class.

You can create scheduled payments (reminders for student installment payments in the future) to let your team and the student know when a payment is due. Now this same functionality is available for the multi-student invoices as well.

You can assign an ID to each student for legal or internal use purposes. If you want, you can automate the ID generation for students from "Top Menu > Settings > Settings > School > Auto Generate Student ID".

International Student Accommodation

There is a new type of service you can define and include in your invoices. It's a flexible engine that allows defining different kinds of accommodation with advanced pricing for different currencies and quantities.

Feel free to add side services like food, access to laundry machine, cleaning services, airport pickup, etc. for your students to pick from.

More User Friendly

We claim to be one of the most user-friendly language school management software in the market. This claim is the result of constant improvements in the software.

Now you can delete sessions of a class for a given period of time, all future sessions, sessions without attendance, one session at a time, etc. More flexibility to reduce the amount of repetitive tasks.

Create quick filters on lists to access data with less number of clicks. For example, create a filter on the class lists and make it the default filter to display only the online classes.

Create as many filters as you need on each list and select them from the list of filters.

More Personalized Everything

These items are also aiming at improving the user experience by allowing the user to personalize details in the administration software.

The reminders you create could now be only for you and not shared with everyone. You can still share the reminders with the whole team so everyone sees them on their dashboards as well.

The list of objectives (reasons your students are learning languages) are dynamic now. You can create your own list and assign them to your leads, students and classes.

We used to keep the student's full name in one box. You can keep the same standard or you can activate the last name option from personalization menu on the top right corner of lead, student or contact list.

The calendar can be color coded. Assign a color to each teacher, room or course. When creating a class, you can pick a color for each class. The color picker helps you remember the teacher, room and course colors.

The left bar menu is customizable now. From the top right corner click on "Profile Icon > Change Profile > Left Bar Menu" and select the menu items you want.

For Language Teachers & Corporate Clients

Teachers now have access to two new reports. A course by course report or class by class report of their classes. It's possible to export the reports to Excel or Word.

The Teacher mobile app is now also available on iPhone. This is the first version with only the attendance functionality. More features are coming up soon.

Corporate portal has the print option for attendance sheet. As a language school you don't need to send reports to your corporate clients and remember different formats they require. Invite them to the platform and they can print the class records themselves.

Corporate clients have more visibility on the details of their own classes. They see all the notes left by the teacher or administration team for each session or student, and the history of switching classes (employees joining a different group or hour).

Improve Online Conversion Rate

As a language school you need to capture more opportunities from your website. Convert more website visitors to students using your "Contact Us" page or a free placement test. We did a couple of new improvements in this release to improve both those features.

In the contact us form, you can now change the labels or translate them to any language you'd like.

We added an optional step to book an interview on a calendar after the written placement test. You can improve the accuracy of your placement tests by having a written test managed by Demiks and a meeting, booked on Demiks right after the written test.

In case you only do a written test for the proficiency evaluation, you can promote booking a class and paying online by activating that alternative instead of the calendar booking. The system will suggest classes you've published based on the student's level.

The placement test is now evaluating the student levels based on 12 levels A1.1 to C2.2 instead of A1 to C2. This will better reflect the student level.

Kanban for standard workflow management

The new Kanban feature from "Top Menu > Team > Kanban" is a good tool to create workflows and assign different thing to it. You can have multiple Kanbans at the same time and assign different team members to manage them.

For example let's say you have a process to manage new leads. Your leads go through these lifecycle steps: new, follow up, qualification, quote. You can create all these steps and add your leads to the Kanban. Each step has a couple of checks to make sure the work is being done according to the management expectations.

For easy access, each user can add a link to a Kanban to the left bar menu.

Pathway program management

Following up with international students applying for college is easy using a couple of features. First of all, you can create one or more Kanban to follow the standard process.

Reports and printable documents at each step will help you comply with government requirements. For example if you need to print a letter of acceptance so the student can apply for student visa or if you need to provide a letter for the university to certify a student's progress, you can design those templates and the system will generate the letter for you.
